Making only my second visit to Preston town centre. Came for a footie game at Deepdale many years ago. Popped into this CAMRA 2024 entry pub close to the railway station. So close that they have a departure board for said station. Very good value food. Visited with Madge and Jorvic. Proper and large pub with covered outdoor area to the rear. Jorvic had a pint of Stanley's 3.8% pale from Kirkby Lonsdale brewery. One of five available on handpump. Very good. Lots of TV'S. A little bit shabby in places but Madge likes it. Might be back for breakfast tomorrow!

I don't know which Old Vic was being reviewed re the sea food pasta but it wasn't the one on Fishergate Preston. I have been going for lunch there for 6 years and they have never served sea food pasta. However, the food they do serve is amazing and very good value for money. All staff are friendly and it has a great atmosphere.

Stopped off for brunch before heading home. Shame we did not find this pub on day 1. The breakfast with toast was excellent value at £6. Some different beers on tap from normal with the stout from Bolton being very nice.
